The IPL light is absorbed by the hemoglobin which heats up the localised area producing a minor reaction to the sebaceous glands. This will slow down the production of oil that leads to Acne and enlarged pore size.

Melanin is what gives us our skin colour (plus our hair and eyes) it also provides protection by absorbing UVB radiation from the sun. A suntan is the result of higher melanin production; the body's own defense against damaging UVB.

Hormonal and environmental factors can have an impact on melanin production, resulting in pigmentation disorders. IPL treatment does work on sun damage and melasma.

Vascular laser treatment is used to treat vascular lesions such as port wine stains, broken capillaries, spider veins and rosacea. Thread veins, also known as spider veins, can appear anywhere on the body but are mostly found on the face and legs, they lie just below the skin's surface.

The laser light targets the thread vein, and the light is absorbed by the oxyhemoglobin and converted into heat energy in the vascular vein (target) The heat causes the vein wall to collapse and coagulate, this is effectively cutting off the blood supply without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Once blood is no longer supplied to the vein, the damaged vein gradually dissolves and is removed through the body’s lymphatic system, leaving the skin smooth and clear.

It is common for some of the veins to re-fill after the first treatment, therefore a course of 4-6 sessions is recommended with an interval of 3-4 weeks.

Rosacea is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition which affects the face. It results in redness, pimples, swelling, small and superficial dilated blood vessels. Rosacea has a variety of triggers. However, it is not known what causes the condition to start in the first place.

Rosacea Treatment involves the use of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat the damaged superficial layer of the skin while delivering thermal energy to deeper tissue. IPL alleviates any redness, inflammation, uneven skin tones and spots caused by the condition.
